Can I rotate by a custom angle, not just 90°?

Yes. The angle slider lets you rotate to any degree from −180° to 180°, which is ideal for straightening a slightly crooked horizon. The canvas expands so no corners are cut off.

Will rotating cut off the corners of my photo?

No. For custom angles the canvas is enlarged to fit the whole rotated image, with transparent (PNG) or white (JPG) padding in the corners — nothing is cropped.
