About the FB2 Format
FB2 (FictionBook 2.0) ist ein in Russland entwickeltes XML-basiertes E-Book-Format, das zum vorherrschenden Standard für digitale Bücher in Russland, der Ukraine und ganz Osteuropa geworden ist. Im Gegensatz zu Formaten, die visuelle Präsentationen speichern, verwendet FB2 semantisches Markup, um die logische Struktur eines Buches zu beschreiben – Titelseiten, Kapitel, Abschnitte, Epigraphen, Gedichte und Zitate werden alle als unterschiedliche XML-Elemente codiert, wodurch es sich hervorragend für Belletristik und literarische Werke eignet.
