You can save the extracted audio as MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, or OGG. MP3 is the most universally compatible format and works on every device and media player. WAV and FLAC are lossless formats that preserve the exact audio quality from the video source, ideal for professional editing and archival.

For MP3 output, you can choose from four bitrate options: 128, 192, 256, or 320 kbps. At 128 kbps, files are small and suitable for voice recordings. At 320 kbps, the audio is virtually indistinguishable from lossless for most listeners. The default 192 kbps offers a good balance of quality and file size for general use.

Processing happens on dedicated servers using FFmpeg, the industry-standard multimedia framework. Even large video files are typically processed in under 30 seconds. The tool detects whether your video contains an audio track and will let you know immediately if the video is silent.
