Why Convert PPT Presentations?
PPT is a legacy binary format from PowerPoint 97-2003. Convert to PPTX for smaller file sizes, better compatibility with current Office versions, and access to modern PowerPoint features.
Convert PPT to PDF for universal sharing without requiring PowerPoint. PDF preserves slide layouts, fonts, and images in a format that opens on every device and operating system.
Legacy PPT files may not render correctly in modern PowerPoint or Google Slides. Converting to PPTX resolves formatting issues and ensures slides display properly in current applications.
Convert PPT slides to JPG or PNG for embedding in documents, websites, or social media. Each slide becomes a high-resolution image that can be used independently.
Convert PPT to ODP for editing in LibreOffice Impress without a Microsoft Office license. ODP preserves slide content and layouts in an open-standard format.
The PPT binary format risks becoming unreadable as software evolves. Convert to PPTX or PDF to future-proof your presentation archive for long-term access.
Convert PPT documents directly in your browser — no desktop apps, no plugins. No watermarks added, formatting preserved, and files are deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
About the PPT Format
PPT is the legacy presentation format used by Microsoft PowerPoint from version 97 through 2003. It stores slides, speaker notes, animations, and embedded media in a proprietary binary structure. PPT files were the universal standard for business presentations and academic lectures before being replaced by the modern PPTX format in Office 2007.
PPT files can still be opened in modern PowerPoint, Google Slides, LibreOffice Impress, and most presentation software. However, some advanced formatting may not render correctly in newer applications. The binary PPT format also produces larger file sizes than PPTX and lacks features like co-authoring and improved data recovery. Converting legacy PPT files to PPTX is recommended for better compatibility and smaller file sizes.
