Live clocks for every Taiwan city — UTC offsets, DST status, and inter-city time gaps.
Taiwan's Timezone System Explained
Taiwan uses National Standard Time (NST, UTC+8) year-round. There is no daylight saving time. Taipei, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Tainan, and all Taiwanese cities operate on a fixed UTC+8 offset — shared with China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Taiwan last observed DST in 1979 and has not done so since. The UTC+8 offset is stable and predictable year-round.
Key differences from Taipei (NST/UTC+8): London is 8 hours behind in winter. New York (EST) is 13 hours behind. Tokyo is 1 hour ahead. Dubai is 4 hours behind. Sydney (AEST) is 2 hours ahead.
