Why make a passport photo online at all?

Photo studios charge £8-15 per set. Passport-photo apps that require a subscription add up fast if you're doing family photos. And most of the "free" tools online silently save your photo, watermark it, or force you to sign up before download.

This tool does the actual work in your browser. Your photo is cropped, resized to your country's exact spec, and downloaded — nothing uploaded to a server, nothing kept, nothing sold. Free for one photo a day, Pro for batches, Business for volume workflows.

The one thing to get right

Passport photos are rejected for one main reason: dimensions and head position. Every country has slightly different rules for how big your head should be in the frame. That's exactly what these tool pages handle — pick your country, upload a photo, and the tool crops it to their spec automatically.

Passport photo — frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything to make a passport photo?

No. Every country tool on this page runs in the browser — upload a photo, pick your country and document, download the spec-exact result. Nothing to install, no account required for a single photo.

How does the tool know each country's exact photo spec?

Each country page is hand-maintained with the official current requirements from that country's passport or visa authority — width, height, DPI, background colour, head-height ratio, and file-size limits. When a country updates its spec (India shifted its passport size in 2023, for example), the page is updated.

Will the tool reject a photo that doesn't meet the spec?

The tool will produce an output at the exact dimensions and DPI required, but it can't evaluate whether the pose, expression, or background of your source photo will pass a manual review at the passport office. Follow the country-specific tips on each page for pose and background guidance.

Are uploaded photos kept or shared with anyone?

No. Uploaded photos are auto-deleted from our servers within 30 minutes. Nothing is shared with third parties, saved to a public database, or used for training. For maximum privacy, use one of the country tools whose processing runs entirely in the browser (marked on the tool page).

Can I print the passport photo at home?

Yes. The downloaded image is exported at 300 DPI, the resolution most passport and visa authorities require for print. Print on standard 4×6 inch photo paper and cut to the country's dimensions. Many countries also accept digital upload directly, in which case no printing is needed.

Which countries and documents are supported?

Currently 20+ countries covering passport, visa, and ID photos including US, UK, India, Canada, Australia, Japan, Germany, France, Ireland, China, Pakistan, Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Russia, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, plus Schengen visa, US Green Card, and OCI.
