About the PPTX Format

PPTX (PowerPoint Open XML Presentation) is the default file format for Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and later. It replaced the older binary PPT format with a modern ZIP-based XML architecture that produces smaller files, better data recovery, and improved interoperability with other applications. PPTX files store slides, speaker notes, handouts, animations, transitions, and embedded media in a structured package.

PPTX is natively supported by Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, Apple Keynote, LibreOffice Impress, and most modern presentation tools. Can I convert a password-protected PowerPoint to PDF?

Password-protected PPTX files cannot be converted until the protection is removed. Open the file in PowerPoint, go to File → Info → Protect Presentation, and remove the password before uploading.

What is the maximum file size for PPTX to PDF conversion?

You can upload PPTX files up to 100 MB. Large presentations with many high-resolution images may approach this limit. Compress images inside PowerPoint (Picture Format → Compress Pictures) to reduce file size before converting.

Does the PDF retain slide speaker notes?

The default conversion creates a standard single-slide-per-page PDF without speaker notes. If you need notes included, export the PDF directly from PowerPoint using File → Export → Create PDF/XPS and choose 'Notes Pages' as the publish option.

Is my PowerPoint file kept private after conversion?
