US recipe volumes and fuel-tank capacity
1 US gallon = 3.785 L. A US milk gallon = 128 fl oz = 3.79 L; a UK milk container is typically 4 pt = 2.27 L. US car fuel tanks quoted in gallons — a 15-gallon tank is 56.8 L. Recipe volumes ("1 gallon of stock" = 3.79 L) rarely appear at that scale outside restaurant recipes and marinades. The UK gallon is separately supported — pick "UK gallons" if that's what your source uses.
